Abstract

This research is entitled "The Development of Madrasa Qur'aniyah Islamic Educational Institution in Palembang in 1924 - 1955". The formulation of the problem to be discussed was how the history of the establishment of Madrasa Qur'aniyah, how the development of Madrasa Qur'aniyah Islamic educational institutions in Palembang in 1924-1955 and how the curriculum in the Madrasa Qur'aniyah. This research was conducted with the aim to inform and explain the history of the establishment of the Madrasa Qur'aniyah, to explain the development of Madrasa Qur'aniyah Islamic educational institutions in Palembang in 1924-1955 and to explain the curriculum in the madrasa Qur'aniyah The research method used in this study was a historical research method using heuristic steps, source criticism, interpretation, and historiography, while the approach used was the anthropological approach, sociological approach and religious approach. An explanation that the Madrasa Qur'aniyah is a madrasa that has existed since the Dutch colonial era, which was founded in 1924. The early establishment of the teaching system in the Madrasa Qur'aniyah is still very simple, because the teaching is carried out in a violation by studying Islamic religious education such as reading Qur’an and learn the basic sciences of the Qur'an. Along with the development of the times, madrasa Qur'aniyah also experienced developments in several fields, such as developments in terms of the building of learning, management development, developments in terms of teaching methods, and developments in terms of the activities carried out. This development is inseparable from the increasing number of students who want to study in the Madrasa Qur'aniyah.
