Abstract

This research purposes for knowing political development occurring in Penukal Abab Lematang Ilir (PALI). In 2004-2015 discussed about the beginning struggling of the region expansion from Muara Enim in 2004 until first leader selesction in 2015. The research was conducted from April 1st 2019 until May 20th 2019 in PALI Regency and Palembang City by using historical method by collecting data in literature study and interview technique got from the offender's history from the council of the PALI Regency Expansion, important figures in Pali Region Government. From the research conducted reached the result that the struggling of PALI Region Expansion had conducted since 2000. However, the effort was going legitimately when the establishment of the council of the PALI Regency expansion in 2004. The efforts were doing by the council of the PALI region expansion by collecting support from society, doing negotiations with region government, demonstration action, agreement in province until was agreed by centre government. The agreement caused new region named PALI Regency in 2013 which growth until conducting first local leaders election in 2015.
