Abstract

This study discusses "The role of the forum for religious harmony (FKUB) in overcoming conflicts between religious communities in Palembang's voluntary district". This study uses a qualitative research method with descriptive design in examining how the role of the forum for religious harmony (FKUB) in dealing with conflicts between religious communities. The selection of informants by using a purposive method with the aim of taking the correct informants know and can provide informants from the problems studied. The results of this study indicate that the role of the religious kerukuana forum (FKUB) in overcoming conflicts between religious communities is based on the main tasks and functions of the Joint Regulation of the Minister of Religion and Minister of Home Affairs No. 9 and No. 8 of 2006 in overcoming conflicts between religious communities has played a role in carrying out their duties as the implementation of dialogue by encouraging the establishment of mutual communication between religious leaders both inside and outside the FKUB so that each religious leader can understand the aspirations of each religious group. Channeling the aspirations of religious people who feel disturbed by their religious activities by a particular religious group through deliberation or family.
