Abstract
The Ethylene Dichloride Plant is planned to be located in the Kepuh area, Cilegon, Banten Province, Indonesia. The plant covers an area of 6,606 hectares with a production capacity of 300,000 tons per year. The process of making Ethylene Dichloride is done by reacting raw materials in the form of Ethylene, HCl, and Oxygen through the oxychlorination process with the help of CuCl2 solid catalyst with allumina support that takes place in a Fixed Bed Reactor type reactor at 243oC and a pressure of 3.9 atm. This factory is a company in the form of a Limited Liability Company (PT) with a line and staff organization system, which is led by a managing director with 216 employees. Based on the results of economic analysis, the Ethylene Dichloride manufacturing plant is feasible to be established with the following economic analysis: a. Investment = US $ 96.612.874,80 b. Total Sales per Year = US $ 347.652.000,00 c. Total Production Cost = US $ 300.856.944,76 d. Annual Cash Flow = US $ 42.129.708,72 e. Pay Out Time = 2,16 year f. Rate of Return on Investment = 36,33% g. Disscounted Cash Flow - ROR = 54,04% h. Break Even Point = 37,79% i. Service Life = 11 year
