Abstract

Background: Laryngoscopy and intubation is a normal action done by Anesthesiologist, but this action causes a rising in the hemodynamics. In RSUP dr. Mohammad Hoesin, fentanyl is the main drug choice used for analgetics to attenuate hemodynamics caused by laryngoscopy and endotracheal intubation with a minimum dose, which is 2 mcg/kgBB. But, so far there hasn’t any evaluation on the dose and its effects. This study aims to know the hemodynamic responses towards intubation in patient inducted wth fentanyl on certain doses. Method: The design of this study was cross-sectional descriptive observational. The sample of this study was the medical record of patients in RSUP dr. Mohammad Hoesin’s operation rooms by consecutive sampling until the minimum sample total are filled. Result: Fentanyl 2,01-3 mcg/kgBB is mostly given to the age group of 56-65 years old with ASA II physical status, fentanyl 3,01-4 mcg/kgBB is mostly given to the age group of 34-45 years old with ASA II physical status, fentanyl 4,01-5 mcg/kgBB is mostly given to the age group of 26-35 years old with ASA I physical status. Subject on fentanyl 2,01-3 mcg/kgBB have an average 9,2% systolic blood pressure change, 9,71% diastolic blood pressure change, 8,6% heart rate change and 9,54% MAP change, subject on fentanyl 3,01-4 mcg/kgBB have an average 7,12% systolic blood pressure change, 8,47% diastolic blood pressure change, 7,05% heart rate change and 8,02% MAP change, subject on fentanyl 4,01-5 mcg/kgBB have an average 3,41% systolic blood pressure change, 4,59% diastolic blood pressure change, 3,8% heart rate change and 4,2% MAP change. Conclusion: The higher the ASA physical status is then the less dose they get and the more elder the patient then the less dose they get and fentanyl 2,01-3 mcg/kgBB is already able to attenuate the hemodynamic responses.
