Abstract

Karang Agung Village is a village that has the highest incidence of dermatitis in the work area of Kotabumi II, South Kotabumi District, North Lampung Regency. In 2017 there were 237 cases of dermatitis recorded on the profile of Kotabumi II Puskesmas. Many factors that can be the trigger of dermatitis disease in Karang Agung Village if views in the characteristics of that community and environment, personal hygiene in society, environmental conditions in area of Karang Agung that tends to be humid. This purposed of this study is find out the correlation of individual health factors and home environment to the incidence of dermatitis in Karang Agung village, South Kotabumi district. The research was using cross sectional design with a quantitative approach. The sample in this study were 70 responden. The data analysis methods were used univariate analysis, sufficient analysis using Chi-Square test and multivariate analysis of logistic regression. The results of this research with Chi Square test could be describe as follow, there were correlation between personal hygiene (P = 0,000), the cleanliness of in-house environment (P = 0,005), a dermatitis history (p = 0.001), and an allergic history (P = 0,004) with contact dermatitis. The results of logistic regression test showed that personal hygiene factor P = 0,000 (OR = 36,860; 95% CI = 6,208-218,858). The conclusion of this research was factor of personal hygiene most influential to the incidence of contact dermatitis in the housewife in the village of Karang Agung. Housewife is advised to pay attention to personal hygiene in daily activity and Health Center also recommended to provide counseling about impacts and solutions to handle the problem of contact dermatitis Keywords : Contact dermatitis, Home environment, Personal hygiene Literature : 55 (1999-2017)
