Abstract

This research is entitled the development of playbooks and game tools based on Scientific Approach for children aged 5-6 years with the aim of producing play guide books and scientific approach for 5-6 year old children that are valid and practical. This study involved teachers and students in group B or those aged 5-6 years at the 1st Pembina 1 TK Palembang. This study uses Rowntree research with three stages, namely planning, development, evaluation. In the evaluation using the formative evaluation of the Tesmer, there are four stages, namely the stages of self evaluation, expert review, one-to-one evaluation, and small group evaluation. Data techniques are walktruogh, observation, interviews, questionnaires. On the results obtained in the material validation stage and the media get an average value of 86% with consisting of content validation, construct validation and media validation with very valid categories. While the results of the one-to-one stage of child observation data obtained an average yield of 88% and the small group received an average yield of 92%. Then the results of the average of the two stages of data analysis, namely the one-to-one and small group stages, the percentage obtained is 90% with a very practical category with indicators. Practically here the book can help teachers in providing game tools, making it easier for teachers to use the guidebook to guide children's play activities and be able to know the child's development. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the play guide book and game tools based on the scientific approach for children aged 5-6 years are valid and practical so that they can be used in the field and proceed to the field test stage.
