Abstract

Introduction: Nowadays, stunting still a major health problem in the world, including in Indonesia. The aims of this study was to analyze stunting risk factors among toddlers based on STBM program and develop the control model based on Health Belief Model. Methods: Types of this research was an analytic observational with cross-sectional design and the population in this study was mother that have a toddlers who visited all public health center in Palembang city in October until December 2019th with total 1106 sample. This study used consecutive sampling. Independent variables in this study was perceived susceptibility, perceived seriousness, perceived benefits, perceived barriers, cues to actions, and self-efficacy with dependent variables was fifth pillars of STBM program. Data were collected by using questionnaires and analyzed by SPSS ver 25. Result: The results of this study found that there are a significant relation exists between sixth components health belief model against fifth pillars of STBM program with the most dominant are self-efficacy. Conclusion: The stunting control model in stunting prevention on toddlers can be formed through enhancement of self-efficacy related to a health hygiene and sanitation behavior where it has been included in the fifth pillars of STBM program.
