Abstract

The purpose of this research is to find out theMedia Relations Strategy of Financial Supervision and Development (BPKB) Sumatera Selatan in order to maintained good relationship with mass media. This study applied qualitative research method by using in depth interviews, observation, and documentation. The informant that chosen by the purposive technique based on the specified criteria. This research used media relations strategy theory by yosaliriantara. The result of this research showed that Public relations of BPKB run their media relations strategy quiet good. Public relations of BPKB used media relations strategy such as managing relationship, developed strategies and developed networks. Public relations of BPKB also used print media, broadcast media, social media, and online media to help spread information. Public relations maintained good relationship with media like Sumatera Ekspress, Sriwijaya Post, TribunSumsel, TVRI Sumsel and others. Beside that media relations activities conducted by BPKP Sumselsuch as press conference, press briefing, press release, special event, and press interviews.
