Abstract

Background: Leukemia is the most common type of cancer in children under the age of 15 years. Leukemia is diagnosed when bone marrow aspiration examination found blast cells >20%. But now there has been progress in the treatment of leukemia. Many factors affect treatment outcomes in pediatric acute leukemia patients. Objective: To analyze Relationship between Clinical and Laboratory Features with Outcome of Post-Chemotherapy Induction Phase of Acute Leukemia. Method: This study is cross sectional of restrospective observational anlysis. The total sample of 180 childs ALL and 63 childs AML that were diagnosed between 2015 and 2018. This study used secondary data of medical record, pediatric’s hematology/oncology registratrion, and clinical pathology data in RSUP Dr. Mohammad Hoesin Palembang. Result: Based on the results of research found male patients predominant were aged between 1 and 10 years. The main Clinical features found fever and pale. The results of laboratory tests found signs of hematopoiesis failure. Based on the results of the analysis found not significant relationship between clinical and laboratory features with post induction phase chemotherapy outcomes. Conclution: There is no significant relationship between clinical and laboratory features with post induction phase chemotherapy outcomes Keyword: Acute lymphoblastic leukemia, Acute Myeloblastic leukemia, outcome.
