Abstract

The purpose of reserch was to utilize the quality of cuttlefish bone extract powder (BEP) using the difference of boiling temperature and NaOH concentration. The reserch used the Factorial Randomized Block Designed with two factors of treatment and each was replicated two times. The treatments were the diffrence of boiling temperature (40oC and 60oC) and NaOH concentration (Control 0%, NaOH 1%, NaOH 3% and NaOH 4%). The result showed that the diffrence of boiling temperature and NaOH concentration had significant effect on witheness and calcium content. The result showed that whiteness was 79,12%-87,16% density was 1,10-1,20g/ml and calcium content was 33,15-39,26%.
