Abstract
The intake building is a building that functions as a tapper or catcher of raw water orginating from its source or water body such as rivers, situ, lakes and ponds according to the discharge needed for processing. In water buildings, local scouring generally results from erosion of the basic sediments and granules passed by the flow. The main purpose of this study is to calculate the local scouring depth in the water intake of PT Bukit Pembangkit Innovative, Lahat Regency. Empirical calculation which is used to analyze the local scouring depth are Richardson Method and Froehlich Method. The Richardson method was obtained for Ys (scour maximum depth) was 4,8672 m and the scour depth that occurred in the building’s intake was 1,248 m. The Froehlich method was obtained for Ys (scour maximum depth) was 5,08 m and the scour depth that occurred in the building’s intake was 1,303 m. The depth of flow affects the scour depth, more the depth of flow increases, smaller the depth of local scour occurs. Key Word: Local Scour, Flow.
