Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penerapan model pembelajaran Index card Match terhadap hasil belajar pada materi struktur atom kepada siswa kelas X IPA. Metode penelitian menggunakan eksperimen semu dengan desain penelitian non equivalent (pretest and posttest) control group design. Sampel yang digunakan yaitu siswa kelas X IPA 1 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas X IPA 5 sebagai kelas kontrol dengan tiga tahap yaitu tahap persiapan, tahap perlakuan dan tahap akhir penelitian. Dari hasil penelitian diperoleh nilai rata-rata posttest adalah 79,37 sedangkan nilai rata-rata posttest pada kelas kontrol adalah 72,34. Hasil analisis uji hipotesis menggunakan uji t pada taraf signifikansi 5%, diperoleh thitung > ttabel yaitu (2,950) > (1,998) serta besar pengaruh senilai 9,7% dapat diartikan pengaruh yang rendah. Dengan demikian Ho diterima, berarti ada pengaruh penerapan model Index Card Match terhadap hasil belajar pada materi struktur atom siswa dikelas X SMA Negeri 1 Indralaya. Disarankan bagi guru agar dapat menggunakan model pembelajaran Index Card Match pada materi struktur atom.
