Abstract

Solar Power Plant (PLTS) is a generator that will absorb sunlight during the day and good weather conditions. The main components of the Solar Power Plant (PLTS) are solar panels arranged in series and parallel to produce the appropriate power. In the 2 MW Solar Power Plant in Jakabaring the solar panels used are poly-crystalline with a capacity of 315 WP but the power produced has not reached 2 MW. So it is necessary to know how many panels should be used to reach 2 MW of power. Data retrieval is carried out in the Jakabaring Solar Power Plant in South Sumatra to see irradiation, output power and energy produced from the arrangement of solar panels that are present in the dry season and the rainy season. The biggest irradiation occurred in the dry season, namely September at 230.99 W/m2 with output power of 291730 Watts, Efficiency of power produced was 17.64% and energy produced was 7001520 Wh. While the lowest irradiation occurred in February 156.78 W/m2 with an output power of 194360 Watt, the efficiency of the power produced was 11.75% and the energy produced was 4664640 Wh. The additional panels needed to reach 2 MW are 1312 solar panels 2 inverters and 6 combiner boxes.
