Abstract

Capital is a basic and foremost problem that make it difficult for farmers to develop their farming. The purpose of this study are to (1) Analyze the accessibility of rice farmers utilize Bank Rakyat Indonesia's Rural Credit. (2) Analyze factors that affect farmers to access Bank Rakyat Indonesia’s Rural Credit. (3) To compave farmer’s income who access and who does’nt access Bank Rakyat Indonesia’s rural credit. This study took a stratified sample of 31 samples from rice farmers who accessed Kupedes PT. BRI and 36 of the rice farmers who did not access Kupedes PT. BRI Data collection in this study uses primary data and secondary data. Data processing used in this study with a Likert scale, chi square, and t-test. The results obtained from this study are the accessibility of farmers has a positive effect on the decision of farmers to access credit, significant factors affect rice farmers accessing PT BRI Kupedes and rice farmers who do not access Kupedes PT. BRI with the decision rule <0.05 is ownership of bank accounts, ownership of business collateral, land area, education, and income. While the insignificant factor with a value> 0.05 is the length of effort. While the one that has no significant effect is the length of farming. And there is a difference in income of Rp2.487.476,00 and the results of the t-test showed a significant difference between rice farmers who accessed Kupedes PT. BRI is indicated by the results of the t test with a sig value of 0,000 or <0.05. Keywords: accessbility, farmer’s, income, rural general credit
