Abstract

PT. Sarana Energi Nusaprima, which is engaged as a contractor in the company PT. Putra Putra Utama in the area of North Musi Rawas, South Sumatra. Pit-1 south block in April 2019 is targeted for removal of overburden by 140,000 BCM, but there is an unachieved of overburden stripping production of 105,292.80 BCM/month so it is necessary to evaluate the performance of loading and unloading equipment. The purpose of this study was to determine the achievement of overburden stripping production. The research method used in this research activity is to combine theory and actual data in the field about research, so that analysis and solutions in problem solving will be obtained. The main factors that affect the performance of digging and loading equipment and conveyance that cause unreachable production of overburden production are operator efficiency factors in the form of high time constraints due to the many work constraints such as Friday prayers, on-site maintenance, refueling, monthly safety talk, rest and eat, heating equipment, the needs of the operator (prayer), repair, rain, P5M, slippery, shifts, surveys, traveling, ending work too fast and too late to start work. The high obstacle time caused an effective working time of only 472.3 hours and efficiency of 65%. After the improvement of the new effective working time and increased to 542.9 hours with work efficiency of 75%. Based on the improvement efforts that have been made, the actual productivity value obtained is 137,413.42 BCM/month.
