Abstract

Work fatigue on driver was one of the causes accidents problems in the transportation sector, which is accompanied by high mortality. The objective of this study was to analyze the risk factors of fatigue on a bus driver Antar Kota Antar Provinsi (AKAP) in bus company Antar Lintas Sumatera (ALS) of Palembang City 2018. The study use cross sectional design with population all of driver bus who works in bus company Antar Lintas Sumatera (ALS) of Palembang City with 68 sample driver bus. Sampling was done by simpel random sampling technique. Data analysis used is univariat and bivariat and uses chi square and fisher exact. Based on bivariate analysis, variables related to that age (p value: 0,009 ; PR : 2,24 95% CI (1,099-4,246)), physical condition (p value: ,036 ; PR: 0,64 95% CI (0,450-0,909)), tenure (p value: 0,023 ; PR: 2,24 95% CI (0,975-5,172)),while variables unrelated that nutrional status, work load. Conclusion from the study is variables physical condition of drivers, accupational factors have an influence on bus driver fatigue.
