Abstract

This study analyzes the relationship between non-cash transaction through velocity of money(VM), money demand (M1) and GDP growth in Indonesia. We use Causality Granger and Vector Autoregrresion (VAR) on Indonesian quarterly data timeseries from 2008-2018. This findings showed non-cash transaction : APMK and E-Money and VM gives positif and significant on GDP growth in lag (-2), while this study confirm Irving Fisher Teory though velocity of money (VM) have negative impact on money demand (M1) in lag (-2).
