Abstract

The analysis of speciation of Pb2+ and Pb4+ ions in leachatewith potentiometric method of cell concentrationhas been done. The aims of this research was to determined for optimum conditions from speciation analysis of Pb2+ and Pb4+ ions in variation condition such as pH and temperature, validation methods and amount of Pb2+ and Pb4+ ions in leachate water also carried out in leachate water. Thismethods have a simple circuit, consisting of the anode and cathode connected by a salt bridge and multimeter. The anode and cathode contain the same Pb metal electrodes. Electrolyte Pb2+and Pb4+ ions solution with different concentration. Potentiometric methods of cell type of concentration for speciation of Pb2+ and Pb4+ ions have an optimum condition at pH 5 and temperature 30°C. Based on a calibration curve, Pb2+ ions has a regression y = 12,974x with line equation R = 0,998. Pb4+ ion has a regression y = 32,703x with line equation R = 0,999. LoD and LoQintrument of 0,21 mg/L. The test showed that the accuracy of the method is very high because the % RSD obtained 0,3 % with an average accuracy 94,32 %. The condition of Pb2+ ions in leachate water was obtained at 0,31 mg/L to 0,46 mg/L with avarage 0,38 mg/L. As for Pb4+ ions in leachate was obtained at 0,55 mg/L to 0,61 mg/L with average 0,59 mg/L. The condition of Pb2+ and Pb4+ ions obtained have exceeded the environmental standards set by the regulatory environment minister (0,1 mg/L).
