Abstract

The coal haul road is an important factor in supporting the smooth transport of coal. The coal haul road at PT. Tantra Coalindo International is 14 kilometers away, owned by the government of the Indragiri Hulu district, which is used to transport coal from the stockpile to provincial roads. smooth transportation by coal transportation equipment, and of course requires proper maintenance, inspection and maintenance of the road so that it can continue to be productive and effective at work, besides that it also requires traffic management because road users are also local people so that transportation remains well controlled. The purpose of this study is to assess the condition of the haul road from the stockpile to the provincial road, analyze the relationship between the volume of vehicles and the fuel consumption of coal hauling equipment, and analyze the maintenance of the coal haul road technically. The research method used in this research activity is combining theorists and actual data in the field regarding research, so that analysis and solutions to problem solving will be obtained. The results of the study based on the calculation obtained the width of the straight road 8.4 meters and the width of the road bend 14 meters. Solid transport time is at 09.00 WIB-15.0 WIB with the speed of dump trucks when solid is 28.86 km / hr while the quiet time for transportation is at 06.00 WIB-09.00 WIB and 15.00 WIB-18.00 WIB with an average speed of 37.83 km / h. Fuel consumption at when the solid time velocity (28.86 km / h) is 148.96 liters / day, while when the time speed is quiet (37.83 km / h) it is 122.30 liters / day. The road improvements are on road width, cross slope, road surface leveling and drainage treatment.
