Abstract

PT Timah Tbk. is a state-owned enterprise engaged in tin mining in Indonesia. PT Timah Tbk. conducting tin mining operations on the sea (offshore) and onshore (onshore). Tin ore washing conducted by PT Timah (Persero) Tbk is to increase tin ore levels by using gravity concentration method. The Gravity Concentration Method carried out by PT. Timah (Persero) Tbk including jigging. The problem that occurs in Tin KIP 9 is the lack of optimal performance of the ground pump which results in the amount of production that is not in accordance with the work plan. In certain layers overblasts often occur which make the feed wasted into tailings. The thing that can be done to increase the production of Tin KIP 9 is to optimize the performance of the ground pump so that the incoming feed matches the primary jig capacity of 282.672 m3 / hour. The engine speed of the ground pump used in the Production Suction Ship 9 is 1550 RPM. In the primary feed jig mud layer of 356.16 m3 / hour, for a weak clay layer of 301.44 m3 / hour for clay clay material amounting to 248.32 m3 / h for fine sandstone clay layers of 150.72 m3 / hour and for coarse sand gravel material of 96.32 m3 / hour. The results of the data analysis showed the occurrence of overblast in the mud layer and weak clay layer. To avoid overblast, the RPM is determined according to the type of material, and its depth, where for the mud layer is 252,96, for weak clay layers of 299,74 RPM for clay material of 331,02. RPM for fine sand clays is 419,89 RPM and for coarse sand gravel material is 600,71 RPM.
