Abstract
Research has been carried out on the development of peanut flower morphologist (Arachis hypogaea L.). This research aims to determine the development of flower morphologist, fruit, and timefor each phase of peanut flower development. The method used is descriptive method. From the observations, peanut flowers experienced three development phases, namely the bud phase, the blooming phase, and fruiting phase. The time of development in the flower bud until blooming (5 days), the ovary phase grows after the flowers bloom (6 days), and the time the ovary goes into the ground (6 days). The time of development as a whole from the bud phase to ovary into the soil (17 days). The varieties studied were local varieties with flower morphology, which are complete flowers in a shape resembling a reddish yellow butterfly, has 5 crown of various shapes, namely, 1 flag, 2 wings, and 2 fruit/chakra. Peanut flowers are also kleistogamous pansy flowers. At the time of thebud, it is protected by bracteas even the gynophore and ovary enters the ground. The peanut plant part is protected by fine hair except for the root, there are root nodules with root nodules. Peanut flowers only able to bloom for one day, after which the flowers will wither and grow gynophore (gynaecium stems) and ovary. The results of this research are expected to be one of the sources of learning for students in biology learning in class X semester 2 of Elementry School KD 3.8 Classifying plants into division based on general characteristics, and linking their role in life.
