Abstract

Farmer groups are institutional in the form of farmers who are in shape to directly organize the farmers in trying to farm. With the cooperation in the form of the farmer group expects to be more efficient and better able to face challenges, obstacles, disturbance or threats in the farm. can also aim as the learning container for the farmers to improve knowledge, skills and attitude whether the manager or members. Increasing the productivity of rice crops in need of the role of fertilizer in it, one of which is rice farmers commodity rice paddy Field believes that fertilizer is a major key factor in increasing rice production .The purposes of this research are to analyze the role of farmer groups on utilization of subsidized fertilizer in Banyu Urip Village Tanjung Lago Subdistrict Banyuasin Regency, to analyze the income of paddy farmer in Banyu Urip Village Tanjung Lago Subdistrict Banyuasin Regency, and analyze the role of farmer groups on utilization of subsidized fertilizer and the correlation of paddy farmer income. This research was conducted in Banyu Urip Village Tanjung Lago Subdistrict Banyuasin Regency on November to May 2019. The method used survey method and sampling method using proportional stratified random sampling.. The study took 30 sample out of 550 farmers. The data were processed by tabulation and continued with Spearman correlation test and analyzed descriptively. Based on first goal, the the role of farmer groups on utilization of subsidized fertilizer in Banyu Urip Village Tanjung Lago Subdistrict Banyuasin Regency was included in the high category with an average score of 28,97 (score range 28,01 < x ≤ 36,00). On second goal, the income of paddy farmer in Banyu Urip Village were in an average Rp. 43.486.234 per cultivated area in a year or Rp. 22.835.046 per ha in a year. On third goal, based on the calculation of rank Spearman correalation obtained there were correlation between the role of farmer gruoups and paddy farmer income.
