Abstract

Abstract The purpose of the research is (1) calculating the income of rubber farmers in Karang Waru Village of Lawang Wetan Sub-district Musi Banyuasin, (2) calculating rubber farmers ' income in Karang Waru Village from other businesses they do, (3) Knowing the strategy What can be done by rubber farmers in Karang Waru village of Musi Banyuasin Regency to increase its revenue during the price of rubber is not economical/experiencing a decrease in prices. This research was conducted in Karang Waru Village, Lawang Wetan Sub District, Musi Banyuasin. Data collection was conducted in September 2019. The research method used is a survey method by taking a portion of the sample from the population. The sample withdrawal method used in this study is a simple random sampling method to determine the sample of the rubber farmer and Use The Slovin formula to determine the number of samples of the rubber farmer. Samples used as many as 55 farmers. The data used is primary data and secondary data. The results of the study showed that the average income gained by rubber farmers in Karang Waru Village amounted to Rp 34.840.171 per area. The average income of rubber farmers in Karang Waru village which is obtained from other businesses that they do to increase revenues is Rp 10.574.023 from oil palm farming conducted by 29 rubber farmers, Rp 17,416,667 from business Trade conducted by 12 rubber farmers, and Rp 16.6 million from the oil mining business carried out by 14 rubber farmers. The another business carried by rubber farmers in Karang Waru Village is in Quadrant I and the formulated strategy is SO Strategy (Strenght Opportunity).
