Abstract

The purpose of this study are (1) to identify the business conditions of the Kemplang cracker industry based on the Diamond Porter model, (2) to prepare a draft strategy for the development of the kemplang cracker industry in Meranjat Village, (3) and Calculate the amount of profit from the kemplang cracker industry in Meranjat Village. This research was carried out in the village of Meranjat. This research has been carried out from June to July 2019. Reserch held & suply the diamond porter method shows that the 4 main components under factor conditions with an average value of 2.74 (good) include input conditions, capital conditions and labor conditions. Demand conditions with an average value of 2.84 (good). Strategy, structure and business rivalry with an average value of 2.75 (good). Related and supporting industries with an average value of 2.25 (good enough). Whereas 2 supporting components in government policy with an average value of 1.51 (not good) and accessibility factors with an average value of 2.37 (good enough). The revenue from the analysis of the Kemplang cracker industry development strategy based on the application of Diamond Porter in Meranjat Village was IDR 2,143,285 per production. The design of the Kemplang cracker business development strategy in Ogan Ilir Regency using SWOT analysis, where the SO (Strengths - Opportunity) strategy can be used to improve the quality of human resources of entrepreneurs in enhancing the development of the kemplang cracker industry as well as strengthening the capital, promotion and customer networks and maintaining good relations with suppliers to guarantee the continuity of raw materials.
