Abstract

One of the results of coal mining business in the area of southern Sumatra is widely used as a supporting material for steam power plants. So not a few entrepreneurs and investors who began to look at the realm of this commodity to be explored and utilized. But one of the coal mining companies in South Sumatra, namely in the Serelo area has the potential to damage the environment. Especially some of the coal mining in the Serelo area is mostly done in open land, namely forests. Therefore the importance of awareness of the company to reclaim it after conducting the mining process in the area. This study was conducted to determine the analysis of land and plants in order to prepare for reclamation activities and conduct an analysis of the realization of reclamation activities to determine the achievements of the implementation of the reclamation plan at PT BME. Research on PT BME's serele pit area was carried out with results from field data in the form of reclamation land area from all dump disposal areas to be processed to be known on average. The results of the study at the research location of the reclaimed land area are 57, 30 Ha for the last 5 years, to be exact, there are 3 locations in PT BME Serelo PIT, namely the northern pile area of 15.20 Ha, the western heap of 18.50 Ha and southern pile covering an area of 23.60 Ha. Implementation of PT BME reclamation plan obtained from the last 5 years of data from 2014-2018 can only be done in the fourth year of 2017 with the achievement of an area of reclamation area of 10 ha (17.45%) and in the fifth year 2018 covering 20 ha (34.90% ). So, the realization of the implementation of PT BME's reclamation plan at the end of the fifth year was 52.35%.
