Abstract
One-dimensional Cutting Stock Problem (CSP) is an optimization problem in the case of combining cutting patterns with regard to one side of cutting. This study aims to obtain an optimal steel cutting pattern with minimal trim loss based on the model solution using Gradisar, et al (2018) data. Based on PG algorithm and one-dimensional CSP models, for raw materials with length 12965 mm, the 4^th,6^th,7^th,8^th, and 〖12〗^th patterns were used for 154, 178, 121, 92, and 101 times respectively with a trim loss of 3158 mm. For with length 11965 mm raw material, the 1^st,5^th,8^th,9^th, and 〖12〗^th patterns were used for 5, 230, 255, 130, and 85 times respectively with a trim loss of 4540 mm. As for the raw material with length 10965 mm, the 1^st,2^nd,7^th,〖10〗^th, and 〖12〗^th patterns were used for 31, 24, 140, 203, and 77 times respectively with a trim loss of 3742 mm. For one-dimensional CSP models with suborder in the first stage, a trim loss of 4792 mm was obtained and the second stage with a trim loss of 7396 mm.
