Abstract

Administratively, it was located in Tanjung Agung Village and surrounded, Ulu Talo Sub-District, Seluma District, Bengkulu. The research area have a population of around 49.59 people. From the topography, the research area has a steep to steep slope because it is located in a hilly area, seen from the road arrangement which cut the hills and found many houses’ community on the slopes. The purpose of this research determined the slope stability with the factors that affect the groundwater head distance, the type of constituent lithology, the slope angles, the values of shear strength soil, and rainfall data, so all of the factors could be determined the slopes were stable or not which supported in the values form of Safety Factor. The method used in slope stability analysis using the Bishop Method by Rockscience slide V6.0 Software. The parameters used in finding the safety factor were inner shear angle (ɸ), cohesion (c), and specific gravity soil (y). Based on the results of slope stability analysis in the study area, the Safety Factor (FK) value obtained at Stopsite 1 = 1.045 (unstable), Stopsite 2 = 1.759 (stable), Stopsite 3 = 2.431 (stable), Stopsite 4 = 1.532 (stable) and Stopsite 5 = 1,228 (Critical). So it can be concluded that the movement of the soil can be caused by the type of lithology of its constituents as seen from the value of cohesion and deep shear angles, and also the high rainwater presitpitation can affect the condition of the rock, as for the influence of groundwater distance on the stability of the slope. Mitigation on Stopsite 1 with FK 1,045 (unstable) and Stopsite 5 FK 1,228 (Critical) is done by modifying the slope by planning terracing to reduce the slope angle using the overall slope calculation.
