Abstract

The aims of this study were to determine the growth and yields of 3 accessions of black rice and Inpara 1 which planted in pots and to obtain seeds from their crossing. This research was conducted in August 2018 to February 2019 in Timbangan, Indralaya, Ogan Ilir. The method utilized Randomized Block Design (RBD). The result showed various growth and yield black rice accession of UNSRI P-3 had better results on the variables of plant height, flowering age, and the number of productive tillers. Whereas the yields observation of UNSRI P-3 black rice accession showed better results on the variables of wet weight, dry weight, number of grains per clump, number of pithy grains, number of empty grains, and weight of 100 grains. Crossing between Inpara 1 variety and black rice accessions (UNSRI P-1, UNSRI P-2, and UNSRI P-3) produced 40 seeds or 6,7% of the 400 crossed flowers.
