Abstract

Absolute locations of research area are 1 o 20’ 20”N, 99 o 34’ 47”E and 1 o 16’ 30”N 99 o 38’ 33”E, situated in Lubuk Gonting Village, and geological reviewed Basin on Central Sumatera. The research area is divided into the use of river, rice fields, forests, gardens and fields. This research using primary data from field surveys and laboratory analysis and secondary data. Based on the slope class, it can be divided into flat and almost gently slopingvery steep, the Sihapas tributary and Aek Manggu tributaries are denritik and trellis, and landforms are low hills and high hills. The rock units at the study site (from old to young) are muddy sandstones of Menggala Formation, and shale of Telisa. The geological structures are Aekmanggu Syncline and Sihapas Anticline. Potential landslides with the highest level are in the southwest and northwest, a fundamental study of weight, value and score calculations using the AHP method. In the F2 period when the early Miocene - Middle Miocene sandstones of Menggala was deposited in the braided river and shalestone of Telisa deposited in the transition-neritic zone. In the F3 period when the Miocene was middle-resent the dominant tectonic process occurred.
