Abstract

The research is aimed at knowing the relationship role of shame and guilt towards student disclipline behavior. The population on this research is student grade XI at SMAN 2 Palembang with a total 353 student. The samples on this research are using a random sampling technique with a sample of 176 students. Next, data-collection techniques employ a documentative and questionnaire. Based on research result, Shame and guilt may assume a role in influencing student discipline behavior pattern, it’s proven by the correlaation test used pearson product moment Which signified significance (sig) = .563 by the provision which were used if signification (sig) a < = .05 so Ho was rejected, if significance (sig) > a = .05 so Ha accepted. The theory used to study research is Tangney and Dearing (2002) (1) a tendency toward shame and guilt (2) self monitorng (3) disicipline behavior .
