Abstract

Exclusive breastfeeding coverage data in Ogan Ilir District decreased in 2016 (48.1%) and 2017 (41.7%). Puskesmas Kerinjing is a health center in the working area of Ogan Ilir District Health Office whose exclusive breastfeeding coverage has not reached the target of 25% in 2017 and the result has not reached the target set by the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia in 2015 at 80%.The type of research used in this study is the type of qualitative research using in-depth interview method. The informants in this study consisted of exclusive breastfeeding program holder in Dinas Kesehatan Kabupaten Ogan Ilir, exclusive ASI program holder at Kerinjing Community Health Center, Village midwife in the working area of Kerinjing Community Health Center and supporting informant ie mother with children aged 6-12 months in working area of Kerinjing Community Health Center (Puskesmas Kerinjing) .The conclusions obtained are, communication has been carried out in the form of socialization by the Health Office and the delivery of information by Puskesmas officers through activities such as ANC and Posyandu, but the information submitted is not in accordance with PP no. 33 year 2012. Human resources or implementors in the Kerinjing Health Center no one has received training for breastfeeding counselor staff and there are no trained personnel at the Kerinjing Health Center, and inadequate facilities. In the disposition variable, all officers support the implementation of policies regarding exclusive breastfeeding. In the bureaucracy variable, there is no SOP and there are no guidelines in the implementation of providing information about exclusive breastfeeding.The advice given by the researcher to the village midwife is that it is necessary to adjust the information conveyed by PPN. 33 in 2012. Suggestions for KerinjingPuskesmas are the need for recording and reporting activities carried out regarding the implementation of exclusive ASI so that these activities can be evaluated and improvements to the activities to be carried out Furthermore, it is expected that there will be SOP in the implementation of an exclusive breastfeeding policy at the Kerinjing Health Center so that the information conveyed to the community is the same and not according to the wishes of the officers. Suggestions for the Health Office are that there is a need to provide guidance to Puskesmas officers regarding exclusive breastfeeding programs and that there is a need for supervision or supervision of activities carried out by staff at the Puskesmas not only through reports provided by the Puskesmas.
