Abstract

The purposes of this study are (1) to describe the management of chilli cluster development by Bank Indonesia in Muara Burnai I Village Lempuing Jaya District Ogan Komering Ilir Regency. (2) Analyzing the cost of goods and income of Bank Indonesia chilli cluster farmers in Muara Burnai I Village Lempuing Jaya District Ogan Komering Ilir Regency. (3) Analyzing the factors that influence the cost of chilli in Muara Burnai I Village Lempuing Jaya District Ogan Komering Ilir Regency. This research was carried out in Muara Burnai I Village, Lempuing Jaya District Ogan Komering Ilir Regency. The location chosen is done by purposive sampling or determined intentionally and it has certain considerations. Data carried out in April 2019 until completion. The research method is the case study method. Data collected in this study are primary data and secondary data. The results obtained in this study are (1) The process of mentoring or coaching members of the Bank Indonesia fostered chilli cluster in Muara Burnai I Village, formed in 2013. Bank Indonesia also provided facilities and infrastructure in the form of hand tractor machines, water pumping machines, seated scales, chilli grinding machines, and auction market buildings. (2) This study shows that the cost of red chilli in Muara Burnai I Village is Rp.6,278 per kilogam. Red chillies farming income is Rp. 23,691,589 per arable area per planting period or Rp. 43,978,799 per hectare per planting period. (3) Factors that affect the cost of chillies are the cost of seeds, fertilizer costs, and labor costs. While the factors that have no significant effect on the cost of red chillies are the area of cultivation and the cost of pesticides.
