Abstract

On 21 Agustus 2019 Mata Najwa raised the little “Nyala Papua” in Trans 7 to discuss racism and discrimination. This study tried to analyze the discourse on the Mata Najwa Episode program “Nyala Papua” in Trans 7. This study used a qualitative method and analysis using the Teun A. Van Dijk discourse analysis model using discourse structural elements namely Macro Structure, Superstructure, and micro structure. The results of this study have a conclusion on the Macro Structure that is the problem of Papua. Superstructure which is segment 1 is an introduction with meaningful narratives describing the situation of Papua's problems, segment 2-6 is the content showing the impact of chaos, discussion of problem solutions and showing a number of clarifications, segment 7 is the closing with the narration as the closing ceremony. Micro structure which includes semantic, syntactic, stylistic and rhetorical elements shows that there are several discourses that have a particular emphasis on words and meanings.
