Abstract

Pedoman Perilaku Penyiaran dan Standar Program Siaran (P3SPS) is an important set of controls for a broadcasting institution to consider. Broadcasting institutions must implement P3SPS so that the audience get quality shows. DR. OZ Indonesia on Trans TV is one of the programs that must implement theP3SPS, one of the segment that is showed by DR. OZ is about the sex education and the P3SPS must be implemented on the program. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative analysis, the researcher used one of categories in Pedoman Perilaku Penyiaran dan Standart Program Siaran as the parameters especially the Respect for Values and Norms of Courtesy and Moralite, Protection of Public Interest, Protection of Children, and Prohibition and Restriction on Sexual Content as the parameters. The results of this research is that the segment about sex education that shown by DR. OZ Indonesia has already implemented the P3SPS, the results also show there are 10 segments that have been analyzed, most of the episodes of DR.OZ program apply P3SPS that have been determined. In addition, it also found segments that did not apply P3SPS. This research seen this application of P3SPS verbally and nonverbally.
