Abstract

This study is entitled "Community Empowerment through the PT Golden Blossom Sumatra Partnership and Community Development Program in Prambatan Village". The purpose of this study is to determine the implementation and obstacles in community empowerment through partnership programs and community development. This research uses descriptive qualitative method. Data collected by in-depth interview techniques, observation and documentation. Informants in this study were 18 people. The forms of community empowerment carried out by PT Golden Blossom Sumatra through partnership and community development programs for the people of Prambat Village in the form of sewing and handicraft training, cultivation of mushroom mushrooms, the provision of livestock, physical facilities assistance, educational program assistance through scholarships and partnership programs. The empowerment process undertaken by PT Golden Blossom Sumatra is to use the Community Development approach from Arthur Dunham. The framework of reference in this research is Development for Community where empowerment is carried out through several stages, namely the preparation phase, the planning stage, the implementation phase and the monitoring and evaluation stage. While the obstacles faced in implementing this empowerment are the limitations of mushroom cultivation tools, lack of tools and materials in the construction of physical assistance, lack of community participation, low levels of community human resources and the existence of special requirements in obtaining scholarships.
