Abstract

This research discusses about "The Phenomenon of Women's Civil Service Police Unit Ogan Ilir Regency Judging from the Theory of Feminism". The problem of this research is how the phenomenon of women's Satpol PP in the perspective of existential feminism. The method used in this study is qualitative with descriptive data. The technique of determining informants using purposive methods. Data collection by observation, interview, documentation which is then analyzed, reduced, and presented with supporting information on the findings to obtain valid data. The data source used is primary data in the form of direct observation of research locations, direct interviews with informants and also supplemented by secondary data in the form of books, documentation, journals and others related to the research theme. The results of this research present are female Satpol PP members of Ogan Ilir choosing this job because of personal choices with the aim of being more independent, having own income and adding experience. Even though she works as a municipal police officer, she continues to carry out her duties at home as a mother to her family. The tasks and tasks of the female Satpol PP are devoted to the administration, minutes and secretaries with some female members participating in the field to provide a humanist, persuasive and friendly image of the Satpol PP. The existence of Ogan Ilir Women's Satpol PP was accepted by the community so that the repressive actions that had been suppressing the image of Satpol PP had so far been reduced.
