Abstract
PDAM distribution still uses a manual recording system. This creates opportunities for recording errors, the need for time for data collection, delinquent payments by customers, and customers who are still bothered to come to the place of payment each month. In this study a tool that can replace water meters using prepaid tokens is designed. This design uses prepaid tokens and SMS gateways as a notification if the balance is exhausted and the remaining balance is a little. Arduino Uno as the control center will process every water discharge through the flow sensor, then it will be processed and displayed on the LCD in realtime and later will set the valve where the balance is out the valve will close and if there is a balance the valve will open automatically in the research this stipulated rate is 100 rupiah / liter. In the research conducted, it is known that flowrate that flows can affect the slow or slow reduction of balance. Then the SMS Gateway as a notification can send SMS to the user according to the balance that has been entered after the remaining 10,000 balance and when the balance runs out. The design of this prepaid token system has functioned as a substitute for water meters.
