Abstract

The many use of tins packaging in the food preservation and food packaging industry have a negative impact on the environment. Tinned waste is one of the inorganic waste which is difficult to decompose by soil and corrosion due to tins waste can affect soil fertility. The solution of this problem is recycling tinned waste sorted by the ingredients of the maker. This study uses the Red, Green, Blue (RGB) colors techniques with the Fuzzy Naive Bayes (FNB) method which is a combination of the concepts of fuzzy set and Bayes theorem. The data used consist of 250 sample tins with 2 speed combinations at 90° divided into 10 fold. The average percentage accuracy classification from 10 fold to speed 1 is 74.64% with a standard deviation of 0.06 while for speed 2 is 74.62% with a standard deviation of 0.09. The average percentage of classification accuracy for speed 1 in the training and testing process is 73.74% with a standard deviation of 0.09 and for speed 2 of 72.83% with a standard deviation of 0.10, which means the classification results of 3 types of tins using speed 1 are better than speed 2.
