Abstract
As technology develops the need for electrical energy continues to increase, the energy source that is often used is fossil energy, to overcome the use of fossil energy continuously used for alternative energy in the form of solar thermal energy. One technology that can utilize solar thermal energy is thermoelectric module. From the research that has been carried out for 14 days using each of the 12 modules of TEC1-12706 with conditions were using a fresnel and without using a fresnel, the greatest research results are obtained on the prototype condition using a fresnel with a voltage of 2 V, a current of 10.86 mA and a power of 0.02172 W at a temperature difference of 18.7 ℃. While the prototype without using a Fresnel lens is obtained the greatest output results are 1.68 V voltage, 8.64 mA current and 0.0145152 W power at a temperature difference of 16.2 ℃. It is known that a Fresnel lens can increase the temperature difference in the prototype so that the output is obtained also increases. Then from the calculation of results using the formula is obtained the largest value of the prototype output voltage when using a Fresnel lens at 1.95 V and the largest voltage on the prototype without using a Fresnel lens at 1.69 V. Obtained the value of the prototype output voltage is obtained from the measurement of results and calculation of results are quite different, this can occur due to errors in the measuring instrument and human error when collecting data.
