Abstract

The Selection of Students Pioneer of Traffic Safety and Road Transport is the process of assessment or selection of students at national, provincial, and district/city to be set as the champion of the student pioneer of traffic safety and road transport. The selection process conducted by the Transportation Department of Musi Banyuasin has a constraint that is still the case that assessment is intuitive and subjective. The assessment is less objective because of the leveler weights of all criteria. Based on existing problems, needed a decision support system. The method used in this research is a collaborative method of Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) and VIKOR. AHP method is used as a tool for finding the weights of sub-criteria in each criterion. While the VIKOR method is used as a tool to calculate the value of the participants and make recommendations for participants who become a champion in the selection of students the pioneers of traffic safety and road transport. Assessment on each participant based on the assessment criteria have been determined, namely Leadership, Public Speaking, Norms/Ethics, Scientific Papers, and Test Material. The end result of this research is a decision support system for the selection of students pioneer of traffic safety and road transport based websites using the PHP programming language.
