Abstract
Hill resort is a resort hotel in the mountains and hills. This resort hotel emphasizes locations that have uniqueness and local ethnic themes as an attraction. Diving into the culture of the surrounding community, joining various community activities, leaving the modern and late lifestyle in the lives of rural communities is the main activity which is the main focus. The purpose of the Hill Resort development is to design resorts that facilitate accommodation by making resorts, sports, recreation and relaxation centers, and can enhance and support tourism activities. The construction of Hill Resort in the City of Pagar Alam is located on Tugu Rimau Street, Pagar Alam City which is at the foot of Mount Dempo. The principle that is applied to the planning and design of the Hill Resort is to prioritize the functional and existing facilities with comfort and safety and circulation that are easily accessible and also show the typical building characteristics of the City of Pagar Alam. Based on these principles, the concept used in planning and designing Hill Resot in Pagar Alam City is a concept of Tropical Modern Architecture.
