Abstract

Penggunaan Kapal Isap Produksi (KIP) sebagai alat penggali material (cutter) untuk menghasilkan recovery dan kadar konsentrat. Pencucian pada KIP 15 menggunakan metode gravity concentration. Pencucian tidak akan berhasil jika kebutuhan air di dalam tangki jig kurang. Kekurangan air mengakibatkan proses pemisahan dan recovery tidak mencapai target yang ditetapkan perusahaan sebesar >96%. Pengunaan pan american jig dengan standar yang tepat menjadi salah satu upaya untuk mengantisipasi kekurangan air. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk menganalisis pengaruh kebutuhan underwater pada jig terhadap recovery bijih timah dengan cara menghitung kecepatan aliran horizontal, menghitung debit air pada jig, dan mengukur diameter rubber spigot. Recovery sampling aktual jig primer 99,25% dan jig clean-up 98,98%. Recovery sampling percobaan I jig primer 99,53% dan 99,37% untuk jig clean-up. Kadar konsentrat akhir aktual sebesar 33,21% dan pada percobaan I 7,26%. Terlihat terjadi peningkatan recovery pada percobaan I dikarenakan adanya penambahan air dan kadar konsentrat menurun.
