Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui level konsistensi representasi dan konsistensi ilmiah mahasiswa serta kemampuan representasi yang paling dikuasai oleh mahasiswa pada materi gaya. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada Program Studi Pendidikan Fisika FKIP Universitas Sriwijaya dengan sampel penelitian 42 mahasiswa semester 6 angkatan 2017. Pengambilan data menggunakan instrumen Representational of Force Concept Inventory (R-FCI). Analisis data deskriptif kuantitatif digunakan untuk mencari persentase mahasiswa yang berada pada level I dan persentase mahasiswa tiap representasinya. Hasil penelitian diperoleh 1) konsistensi representasi pada level I sebesar 4,76% kategori konsisten, level II sebesar 47,62% kategori cukup konsisten dan level III sebesar 47,62% kategori tidak konsisten. Konsistensi ilmiah pada level II sebesar 2% kategori cukup konsisten dan level III sebesar 98% kategori tidak konsisten. Konsistensi ilmiah dominan berada pada level III yaitu kategori tidak konsisten.2) Kemampuan representasi yang paling dikuasai mahasiswa Pendidikan Fisika Universitas Srieijaya adalah representasi grafik.
