Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of capital and labor on production and also economies of scale in tapai processing businesses in Palembang. The inputs analyzed are capital and labor, while the output factors are products produced by the industry in Palembang. The analysis technique uses multiple linear regression analysis. The results showed that capital and labor had a positive and significant effect on production tapai. If the capital used by producers is increased by 1 percent, it can increase production by 11.21916 percent. Whereas if labor is increased by 1 percent it will increase production by 2.461109 percent. The scale of the industrial economy is at an increasing return of scale which is at a position 1.4> 1 which means that an increase in inputs will increase output larger.
