Abstract
This research aims to know the effect of Auditory Model Intellectually Repetition (AIR) Learning Method on Student’s Cognitive Achievemen of SMA Negeri 18 Palembang in Learning Material of Human Respiratory System. This research used Quasi Experimental Method with Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. Selection of the class through a random sampling on five elective class of Social Science by drawn so obtained two classes, namely class XI IPS.1 as experiment class (AIR) and Class XI IPS.2 as the class control (Discovery Learning). Each class consists of 30 students. The data of cognitive achievement were obtained by pretest and postest with a multiple choice unit consist of 20 questions which tested the validity and reliability. Test of hypotheses using t-tests that the result is AIR methos have the effect is not significantly on cognitive achievement. Although, the achievement of experimental class is higher than the control class especially on the average value of the postes, n-gain and classical mastery learning. Forthermore, the students activites of experimental class is higher than the control class especially on the aspect of visual, oral, writing, drawing, listening and motoric.
