Abstract

Sungsang waters in South Sumatra have great fisheries potential, the number reaches 35,000 tons / year. Fisheries resources as a system that has an important role in providing food resources and economic prosperity for the people of Indonesia requires long-term oriented management which is commonly called Sustainable. This study aims to inventory and document the types of fish resources in the coastal waters of Banyuasin. This research was conducted in March 2019. The method used at the time of this study was a survey method, the Sungsang area was used as a research location. The results showed that there were 23 types of fish found in the market and collectors. The most found fish are fish in collectors, the number reaches 17 species of fish, while the fish that are least found are fish in the market, the number reaches 11 species of fish.
