Abstract

This purpose of this research is to (1) Describe the vegetable marketing channel of Pulau Semambu Village, North Indralaya District, Ogan Ilir Regency. (2) Analyzing marketing margin, farmer's share, and marketing efficiency of vegetables in Pulau Semambu Village, North Indralaya District, Ogan Ilir Regency. (3) Analyzing the magnitude of the elasticity of the transmission of consumer-level vegetable prices to the farm-level vegetable prices in Pulau Semambu Village, North Indralaya District, Ogan Ilir Regency. Location selection is done deliberately. Data was collected from November to Desember 2019. This study took 36 samples from 192 populations. Determination of this sample using the Slovin formula. Data collection in this study uses primary data and secondary data. The results of research conducted in the Pulau Semambu Village, there are 3 marketing channels. The average vegetable marketing channel in Pulau Semambu Village has a low marketing margin, namely the average cucumber marketing margin of each marketing channel is Rp1.403 the average spinach marketing margin is Rp477 and the average water spinach marketing margin is Rp368. Farmer’s share of vegetable farming in Pulau Semambu Village on marketing channels I and II has a percentage above 50%, but in marketing channel III it has a percentage below 50% and the value of marketing efficiency is ≤ 50 percent which means that marketing of vegetables in Pulau Semambu Village can be said to be efficient. The value of the transmission elasticity of cucumber price was Et = 1,149. Transmission elasticity of spinach prices was Et = 1,112 and the elasticity of water spinach prices was Et = 1,134. this shows that vegetables farming ini the village of Pulau Semambu has transmission elasticity 1 < 1 which means the increase of vegetables price at tehe consumer level is smaller than increase of vegetables price at the farmer level.
