Abstract

Mangrove crabs have a high value of economic potential. However, the prescence of Mangrove crabs in Banyuasin coastal has decrease every year. The decrease allegedly caused by the unfriendly captured for environmental, as well as pests and diseases. This research was to isolate fungi which comes from mangrove crab samples and to identify the species of fungi in mangrove crab from Banyuasin coastal. Mangrove crab samples was catched by traditional tools (net-based bubu) with a size of 50 x 30 cm and the size of middle bearing is 70-100 cm. After sampling was completed, the next process was necropsy sample, isolating fungi with SDA (Sabaourond Dextrose Agar) media, purification (culture slide), and then identification process. Identification was done in macroscopy (visual observation of fungi colonies) and microscopy (observation with microscope). This research was obtained 9 isolated fungi (3 isolate of KB 1 sample and 6 isolate of KB 2 sample) and 4 species of identified fungi, (Aspergillus sp., Fusarium sp., Paecilomyces sp., and Penicillium sp..)
