Abstract
This study aims to find out how the mathematical problem-solving ability of students in class VIII using PMRI through LSLC on straight-line gradient material. The subjects of this study were students of class VIII.B, Srijaya State Junior High School, Palembang, totaling 32 students. The learning process takes place adapted to the principles and characteristics of PMRI through the LSLC system. Data collection techniques used in this study were written tests consisting of 2 problem descriptions, observations with the LSLC team, and interviews conducted to obtain supporting data. The tests are conducted to find out how students' mathematical problem-solving abilities. Observations were made to be able to see student activities during the learning process. Then interviews are used to confirm students' answers. Based on the results of research on students' problem-solving abilities using the PMRI approach through LSLC in class VIII.B. Srijaya Junior High School, Palembang, it is obtained the mathematical problem-solving abilities of students on the subject of Straight Line Gradients has reached the indicator understands the problem, plans for solving and implements the plan with the most frequent indicator appearing is the indicator of planning the solution while the indicator that rarely appears is the indicator to see the truth of the solution of the problem that has been made in the form of a conclusion or provide an answer differently from the question to the problem, so the conclusion of this reasearch are mathematical problem solving of 8th grade students using PMRI through LSLC on gradient material are enough categories.
